The Associations Council (ASCON) is a very important CII forum where all the sectoral industry associations who are the members of CII actively participate. ASCON is a platform to review the performance of various industry sectors and understand issues of concern which needs to be addressed through policy advocacy by CII.

Over the years, ASCON has established itself as a reliable source of industry data and reference point through its Industry survey and monitor. ASCON Survey findings are presented in ASCON meetings chaired by President –Designate, CII.

The CII ASCON survey tracks the Industry performance based on the feedback received from and affiliated associations of CII, industry divisions representing about 3500 companies. The companies covered in the survey represent a wide spectrum of sectors including Basic goods, Intermediate goods, Capital goods, Consumer Durables and Non Durables. In most of the cases these account for approximately 70 % of the total industry output in the respective sectors.
