At the outset, I would like to thank you all for reposing faith in me as Chairman, CII Uttar Pradesh for the year 2010 -11. The theme ‘Skilling UP for Sustainable Growth’ is reflected in the activities undertaken during the year.

In our endavour to provide impetus to industrial development and growth in the state, we had interactive sessions with key government officials and politicians; represented on major working groups and advisory boards of the state government like the Udyog Bandhu working group, Tripartite Labor Committee, Council of Science and Technology, Environment Policy Committee, National Climate Change initiative and State Steering Group for HIV / AIDS awareness creation. We also organised Industry-Government interactions at Meerut, Agra, Rampur, Aligarh, Sitapur, Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Jhansi and a few other districts of UP to escalate the challenges faced by the industry.
