CII-Raunaq Singh Innovation Grid is a web-portal that would act as a networking platform for all stakeholders in the innovation eco-system to come together for a quicker and more effective innovation-to-commercialization process. The Grid aims to identify the needs of all the stakeholders of the grid & provide relevant & maximum possible information that addresses every stakeholder’s needs, especially the entrepreneur. It is envisioned that the Grid will bring about inclusive growth in the society through employment generation and wealth generation by helping innovators / entrepreneurs bring new / innovative products and services to the market successfully.
The Grid will have information about research scientists, market research analysts, mentors, incubation centers, sources of venture funds like venture capitalists, government funding schemes, research grants, IP firms, marketing & advertising agencies, business experts, testing and evaluation centers – all of which will help the innovators/entrepreneurs in the innovation-to-market process. It would also host a database of innovators and innovations. It would also contain information about innovation requirements from the Industry/SME. The information will be complemented by hand holding services through which the portal customers can access the help of CII’s Innovation team.
The Grid will also allow an innovator looking for a mentor or for venture funds to post his/her request on the grid and this request will be posted on relevant pages of the portal, thus enabling a connection between the right people. Similarly the industry/SME, or entrepreneur can also post their requests on the Grid. There will also be an interactive Query System available on the portal, making it feature rich and user friendly.
