Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized Members’ Meet and a Conference on Advantage @ HR wherein CII Chairman Eastern Region, Mr R K Agrawal, CII Chhattisgarh State Council Chairman, Mr Ramesh Agrawal, CII Chhattisgarh State Council Vice-Chairman, Mr Manish Gupta, and Dr Saugat Mukherjee, Regional Director, CII Eastern Region along with Shri Chandra Shekhar Sahu, Hon’ble Minister- Agriculture, Husbandry, Fisheries and Labour, Government of Chhattisgarh, as the Chief Guest in the Conference.

In his welcome address Mr Ramesh Agrawal, Chairman CII Chhattisgarh State Council emphasized on the role of CII and the upcoming activities in the state. He further discussed on the theme of CII this year which is “Reviving Economic Growth: Imperatives of Reforms & Governance".

During the Members’ Meet, Mr R K Agrawal said that CII is working as a Developmental Institution and a nodal point of reference for industry - nationally & globally with a Network of 63 offices in India and 7 overseas offices. He further briefed the Members of the Membership strength, upcoming activities and projects, reports and publication for CII Eastern Region and the State.

During the Conference, Shri Chandra Shekhar Sahu shared the initiatives taken by the government of chhattisgarh in the areas of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food processing and Labour. Shri Chandra Shekhar Sahu appreciated and congratulated the initiatives taken by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and encouraged CII to continue bringing the industries and government together in order to create an atmosphere for inclusive growth and overall development of the state.

Mr R K Agrawal said that the key challenge before HR Professionals today is shaping the future of their organisations through Talent management, Coaching, Mentoring etc. HR must and can play a crucial role in shaping careers & building an organisation on Trust, Values & a defined vision for the future.

Mr Manish Gupta, Vice Chairman, CII Chhattisgarh State Council proposed the vote of thanks and said that the role and importance of HR has been highly applauded throughout, however, with the increasing era of competitive edge the role of HR has reached to stage of manifold importance. HR ensures that both the employee and organization are focused towards the same goal and walk on the pathway of success. He also thanked Shri Chandra Shekhar Sahu, Minister- Agriculture, Husbandry, Fishery and Labor, Government of Chhattisgarh for giving his precious time and valuable inputs to the Conference.

The Conference was attended by large number of delegates thereby making the event a grand success.
