Training Programme on Energy Saving Techniques for Manufacturing Industries 13 July 2012: Rudrapur
Jul 16, 2012

Increasing energy costs for manufacturing products has forced companies to think aggressively about effective energy management. It is essential that energy management becomes an integral part of an organization’s strategy to address not just individual activities or cost centers but the entire value chain. From an environment perspective we cannot completely stop the increase in demand for energy, however, we can change the way we use energy and reduce GHG emissions.

A one day training programme on ‘Energy Saving Techniques for Manufacturing Industries’ has organized by Confederation of Indian Industry, Uttarakhand on 13 July 2012 at Hotel Rudra Continental, Rudrapur. Given the fact that Uttarakhand has witnessed rapid industrialisation and the energy demand from industry has grown phenomenally, the workshop focussing on energy conservation gains importance on multiple fronts - managing the energy demand supply scenario at the state level, enhancing the competitiveness of the industry by helping them reduce costs and also help in reducing GHG emissions.

The programme focused on developing knowledge on the techniques for effective energy management and increased profitability. It stressed on creation of in-house skills on energy monitoring, energy auditing, and energy conservation in the areas of mechanical and electrical utilities/equipment, power distribution and alternative sources of energy.
