Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a “Navaratna PSU”, is one of the Asia's largest aerospace companies has signed a Technology Cooperation Initiative to enhance Quality and Competitiveness for HAL of its Products and Services.  This is the first ever cooperation initiative signed between the leading Public Sector HAL and CII.

The CII Institute of Quality (CII-IQ),  objective is  to enhance the competitiveness of Indian Industry .CII IQ  will facilitate HAL in its Quality journey towards Excellence. The broad areas of this cooperation  would cover – Development of HAL Corporate Quality Vision, Quality Measurement and Award System, Action plans for improvements, Integration of Vendors and Partners in to HAL Quality System, Training module for Vendors, Integrated HAL Quality Systems and Quality Assurance organisational restructuring.

CII-HAL Technology Cooperation initiative was inked by Mr K Naresh Babu, Managing Director, Bangalore Complex and Mrs Greeta Varughese, Senior Director & Head, CII IQ in the presence of Mr N Kumar, Chairman, CII IQ and Dr R K Tyagi, Chairman, HAL.  This cooperation will be for a period of 3 years to start with.

On this occasion, Chairman HAL welcomed this Public Private partnership initiative and called upon CII to work in  many more areas in the years to come.

Mr N Kumar, Past President, CII congratulated HAL for being proactive and stated that this historic initiative will bring the PSE’s and Private Sector closer and thereby enhance the competitiveness of India Inc.
