Over 200 companies from 15 countries at InnoRail India 2016 with Japan as Partner Country

The second edition of InnoRail India 2016 has attracted participation of over 200 companies with Japan as Partner Country, which is bringing the largest ever Japanese Delegation from the Rail Transportation Sector with over 250 businessmen and 40 companies showcasing the latest products and innovations for the Indian Rail Transportation sector.  InnoRail India 2016, the International Exhibition & Conference on Innovations in Railways, Metro & Mono Rail, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO), Ministry of Railways, Government of India, and supported by Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC), is scheduled to be held at RDSO Stadium Grounds, Manak Nagar, Lucknow from the 1st to 3rd of December, 2016.

 

India currently boasts of the world’s third largest railway network under a single management and has over 1.3 million employees. The nation’s mass transportation infrastructure, network, and services still need a great deal of improvement. Conversely of course, this means that there is also a huge amount of opportunity for growth and earnings to be achieved in this area.   The Indian rail market offers significant incentives for potential investors and this process has recently been accelerated by some specific incentives to invest in the Indian rail sector - 100% FDI in the railway infrastructure segment has recently been allowed and this has resulted in increased opportunities for overseas investors.

 

Given this, InnoRail, 2016, brings together all the stakeholders of Industry and Government and offers a neutral platform to deliberate on improving the efficiency and standards of Indian Rail Transportation sector.  The event will also identify and address the need for innovation in Indian Railways, showcasing the very latest technologies, innovations, and service offerings from around the world, and providing networking platforms. The concurrent events will consist of International Conference, Japan Rail Symposium, B2B meetings, panel discussions, and product demonstrations.

 

Japan is participating as Partner Country at the InnoRail India 2016 with over 40 companies including the Japan Railways, and will showcase latest innovations and products from Japan in an exclusive area of around 2000 sq mtrs.  A 250 plus member delegation led by the Vice Minister, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Govenrment of Japan, will attend the InnoRail India 2016 and explore possibilities of doing business with India in the Rail Transportation Sector. Japan will organize a Japanese Railway Symposium during their participation at this event. Japan may well be key in delivering solutions to India’s infrastructure problems, not just as an institutional model but also as a source of critically important expertise and of much needed funds for key projects.

 

The Government of India has been quick to recognize the importance of private sector companies, particularly those from advanced economies such as Japan and others from across the globe, in delivering the boost to the transportation network and services the nation needs today.  InnoRail India,2016, exhibition has presence and participation of over 200 companies from 15 countries – Austria, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine, UK and USA - showcasing their latest products, innovations and technologies in an exclusive area of 15000 sq mtrs of space. Japan and Germany will have country pavilions at InnoRail India 2016.  Some of the major participants at this special event includes Siemens Ltd, Rittal India Pvt. Ltd, Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co. Ltd, Prag Industries Pvt. Ltd, Kiswok Industries Pvt. Ltd, ABB India Ltd, Daulatram Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd,  Wago  Pvt Ltd, Bharat Forge Ltd,  Japan Association of Turnout Industries, Japan Transport Engineering Company, Yamato Trackwork, Daido Castings, Japan Railway Technical Services (JARTS), Japan Overseas Railway System Association (JORSA),Nippon Signal, CBC Group of Japan, Furukawa Battery, Sumitomo, Hitachi, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Electric, Kawasaki Heavy, East Japan Railway, Sumitomo Mitsui Construction, National Traffic Safety and Environment Laboratory of Japan, Railway Technical Research Institute of Japan, The University of Tokyo, JETRO, Texmaco Rail and Engineering Ltd, etc. among others.

 

The three days Exhibition and Conference is expected to be attended by over 10,000 visitors including very senior level officers from RDSO, Production Units of Indian Railways, Zonal and Regional Railways of India, and people from industry, academia, global technical experts and decision makers, government officials and media representatives.
