Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a Seminar on “Doing Business with China” in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on July 2011, to create awareness about the latest developments in China and emerging business and investment opportunities for Indian businesses in China. The  Conference had plenary sessions  covering Overview of Chinese economy and its growth, India-China Trade, Modes of setting up operations in China, Financing options for doing business in China, Experience sharing of Indian and  Chinese companies ,Business opportunities for Indian companies in key sectors. A Report titled “Doing Business with China” has been jointly published by Deloitte and Confederation of Indian Industry. Eminent speakers from China and India, including senior professionals in the fields of Finance and Tax regulations had made presentations .The Seminar had close to 150 participants from various sectors. The Digital Library consists of Online Videos / Presentations on Overview of Chinese economy and its growth; Dos & Don’ts on doing business with China; Modes of setting-up operations in China; Experience in Doing Business with China; Basic business laws and tax regulations in China; Financing options for doing business in China and Panel Discussion on Logistic, Automobile and Auto Component Sector. The Report on Doing Business with China consists of Trade statistics; Foreign investment in China; Choice of business entity; Taxation in China; Drivers for inbound and outbound investment; Key industries.; Automobiles and auto components sector; Information Technology and IT enabled Services sector; Real Estate, Construction and Infrastructure sector; Tourism sector as well as Case Study of Mahindra and Mahindra in China and an Importer / Trader sharing his experience of doing business with China.
