The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in association with CII, and the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), organized the second edition of the Global Exhibition on Services (GES) from 21–23 April in Greater Noida. The event was a platform to enhance strategic cooperation and develop synergies between the players of the Services sector in India and their global counterparts.
Inaugurating GES 2016, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, emphasized upon the need for liberalization and reform of the Services sector to promote the export of Services from India. The dynamism of Indian Services is a reflection of the liberalization process, he said, noting that those Services which had seen deeper reforms grew faster and attracted more FDI.
