An interactive Session with Dr M S Sahoo, Chairman, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India( IBBI
A lot has been said and written on the Indian insolvency law—the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC). As you may be aware, the IBC amendment Bill got passed in the current Monsoon Session in Parliament, The government has been very proactive in bringing about changes to the code as well as the regulations, in most cases through the ordinance route.
The insolvency process, as a whole, has its implications under various allied laws and regulations. Taxation is one of the key areas and some key amendments were made in the Finance Act, 2018. The other key area was the securities law, as most of the large cases are listed on the stock exchanges.
Dr M S Sahoo, Chairman, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India( IBBI )will be in Bangalore on Saturday, 25th August and would be available for interactions with CII members from 1000-1400 Hrs. Dr Navrang Saini, Whole Time Member, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India other senior members from IBBI would also accompany the Chairman to Bangalore.
