Across the globe, the evolving and emerging trends in anti-trust, digital markets and new technologies have necessitated review of data, technology, adapting traditional methods and developing new tests and parameters of investigation and introducing new laws. Various approaches of global jurisdictions have been seen. At the onset of the journey for India@100, the Competition Commission of India, through its regulatory and advocacy activities has reaffirmed the unwavering commitment to ensure existence of well-functioning markets, where business can compete on merit. CCI has remained focussed on simplifying procedure, carrying out speedy disposals, and lessening the burden of compliance. The impending Competition (Amendment) Bill, 2022 is also further expected to streamline the law.
Against this background, the next edition of the CII and CCI Annual Conference on Competition Law and Practice is being scheduled on Saturday, 17 September 2022 at Mumbai. The Conference will provide a consolidated platform for leaders, Board Members; General Counsels; Corporate Affairs and Public Policy Professionals and competition law and anti-trust litigation professionals to deliberate latest trends in the evolution of competition law, the rise of M&As, anti-trust approach in global jurisdictions and keeping pace with digital markets.
