CII Southern Region organised an Interactive meeting with Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of  3rd CII Southern Regional Council Meeting held in Hyderabad on 19 July 2012.

Speaking at the Regional Council Meeting Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh assured the industry members that the present power shortage to the industry will be resolved soon. In this regard the Government of Andhra Pradesh has already negotiating with the gas producers for getting additional gas to the state, he said. He was of the view that the present power shortage to the industry is a temporary phenomena and will not exist in the long term.

Focusing on the Partnership Summit 2012 investment proposals he said that already one lakh thirty thousand crores investment proposals are in various stages of implementation. He also said that his Government is keen to establish National Manufacturing Investment zones in the state. In this regard the Government of Andhra Pradesh has already initiated discussions with the Government of India, he said.

Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy also spoke about the various Government programmes initiated by his Government such as Indirimma bata and Mee seva. Infact these programmes became very successful in the state, he said. He also informed to the Industry members that the Government will soon come up with land allotment policy for industry and Renewable Energy policy for the state.

Dr. J Geeta Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Major Industries, Government of Andhra Pradesh in her special address pointed out that Government of Andhra Pradesh taking necessary measures for ensuring growth in agriculture as well as in the industrial sectors. She urged the industry to be more inclusive in their approach towards deprived sections of the society.

Earlier, Mr. G V Sanjay Reddy , Chairman, CII Southern Region welcomed the Chief Minister. In his address Mr Reddy talked about the various initiatives of CII Southern Region. Ms. Suchithra Ella, Chairperson, CII Andhra Pradesh delivered the concluding remarks.
