Mr Ninad Karpe as the new Chairman for CII Maharashtra State Council & Mr Ashwini Malhotra as the Vice Chairman for 2013-14

Mr Ninad Karpe, CEO & Managing Director, Aptech Ltd is elected as the Chairman of CII Maharashtra State Council for the year 2013- 14. He succeeds Mr Satish Jamdar, Managing Director, Blue Star Ltd. Mr Ashwini Malhotra, Managing Director,Weikfield Foods Pvt Ltd was elected the Vice Chairman.

Ninad joined Aptech Ltd as CEO & Managing Director in February 2009 and since then, he has been aggressively driving strategy to position Aptech Ltd as a global learning solutions provider. Aptech presently operates in India and 40 emerging countries across the world including China. He is a regular blogger (www.reformingeducation.in) and is an Independent Director on the board of a few public companies.

Earlier, Ninad was the Managing Director of CA (CA was formerly known as Computer Associates) for India & SAARC countries. In this capacity, as MD of the Indian operations of CA-the world’s fourth largest software company, Ninad was responsible for leading the adoption of CA’s technology reach and strengthening strategic partnerships in India.

Mr Ashwini Malhotra, Managing Director, Weikfield Foods Pvt. Ltd., was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Maharashtra State Council for 2013 - 14

Ashwini completed his schooling from Bishops School, Pune and graduated with honours from Ness Wadia College of Commerce, after which he completed his MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He has been an active member of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) at the Zonal, Regional and National level. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Poona Downtown and is involved in several other charitable organisations.

Weikfield Foods - the flagship foods business company of the Weikfield Group, which was founded in 1956, with manufacturing facilities are located at three locations - Lonikand near Pune, Bakori near Pune & Nalagarh in Himachal Pradesh. At these plants, Weikfield manufactures a wide range of food products like desserts mixes, food ingredients, sauces, tea, teabags, honey, mushrooms, etc., which are sold throughout India, through their extensive sales and distribution network consisting of 600 stockists and over 120,000 retail and institutional outlets. Weikfield also exports its products to various international markets of North America, Europe, Middle East & Africa.
