MR NAVAS MEERAN, CHAIRMAN 

MS RAJSHREE PATHY, DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON

Chennai, March 11, 2014. Mr Navas Meeran, Managing Director, Eastern Condiments Pvt. Ltd, Ernakulam  has been elected as the Chairman of  CII – Southern Region   for the year 2014 -15. His name was announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted Southern Regional Council held in Chennai on Tuesday. 

Mr Meeran  has been closely associated with CII and was the Deputy Chairman of CII Southern Region during 2013-14 and was the Chairman of CII Kerala State Council during the year 2006-07.  

He is a Director of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (KSIDC) and also a member of  Kochi Metro Advisory Group. 

Mr Navas Meeran is the recipient of Kamal Patra Award for the year 1994. The award has been instituted by Indian Junior Chamber to recognize and honour outstanding young entrepreneurs. 

Ms Rajshree Pathy, Chairperson & Managing Director,  Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd has been elected as Deputy Chairperson of CII Southern Region for the year 2014-15. 

Ms Rajshree Pathy is an active member of CII and has been closely involved in  CII initiatives in Arts and Agriculture.  She was the Past Chairperson of CII National Committee on Arts and Past Chairperson of Agriculture  Sub-Committee of   CII Southern Region during 2010-11.  She was also the Past Chairperson CII Tamil Nadu State Council during 1998-99. 

Ms Rajshree Pathy has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri Award in 2013 for her outstanding contribution  in the field of Trade and Industry by the Hon’ble President of India. 

She has also been awarded the “Global Leader for Tomorrow" - World Economic Forum - Davos - 1996 and the Eisenhower Fellowship - 2000.
