26th CII Haryana Quality Circle Competition 2013
The ‘Nayee Rah’ Quality Circle from Secure Meters Ltd was adjudged the winner and was awarded the “Jay Bharat Maruti Winners Trophy” in 26th QC Circle Preliminary Competition 2013 organized by Confederation of Indian Industry in Gurgaon today. The ‘First Runner up Trophy’ was won by ‘Go Green' Quality Circle from Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd and ‘Uday’ Quality Circle from Lumax Industries Ltd bagged the ‘“Second Runner up Trophy”. These teams will now participate in the Regional Final as a pre runner to the National Competition.
Over 150 workers from 14 Quality Circle teams participated in the Competition. The assessment of the presentation was made on a weighted scale covering different aspects of the Quality Circle activity. The evaluation was based on factors like problem selection, analysis, solution, presentation, etc.

Mr Neeraj Munjal, Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Managing Director, Shivam Autotech Ltd gave away the trophies to the winners and while speaking on the occasion, Mr Munjal mentioned that the Quality Circle Competition is a celebration of creativity, talent and recognition of talent and teamwork. It symbolizes the innovations and capabilities of workers and is a representation of a very positive employee – employer relationship. This competition plays a very important role in involving a wide cross section of employees in any organization for improving Quality, through exchange of ideas and views, sharing of experiences and various approaches to problem solving. He emphasised that focus should be on achieving zero defect and reducing wastages. Mr Munjal said that quality of Indian products is much respected world wide and in these competitive times it is the consistent focus on quality that will help Indian companies withstand the challenges globally.
Mr S B Purohit, the Chief Judge motivated all the teams that had participated in the Competition and urged them to keep the flag of quality movement flying high in their respective organisations. Mr Arun Malik encouraged the participants to adopt the quality practices in their social life as well.
Quality Circles from Carrier Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Ltd, Continental Carbon India Limited, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, JCB India Ltd, Lumax Industries Ltd, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Mindarika Private Ltd, Napino Auto & Electrical Ltd, Secure Meters Ltd. and Subros Ltd participated in the CII QC Competition.
