Greenhouse gas mitigation through Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy across the cement value chain
Project Description
The objective of the study is to study greenhouse gas mitigation strategies through Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy across the cement value chain (extraction, manufacture, logistics, use and end-of-life). The specific objectives are:
- Establish baseline for assessing the abatement potential arising from improvements to energy efficiency and material efficiency across value chain
- Identify opportunities for use of technology to improve efficiency (energy and material)
- Facilitate adoption of carbon reduction strategies (through better material and energy-use efficiency) across all lifecycle stages
