The Confederation of Indian Industry has been taking several initiatives to strengthen and also promote excellence in education sector in the country – be it school education, higher & technical education and management education. CII is also conscious of the fact that the advent of globalisation has increased the competitive edge of Indian industry. This has prompted industry to continuously upgrade its skill to match with the global needs. In this regard, the educational institutions has a major role to play in preparing the students to match with the skill sets of industry needs. Indian industry also has the responsibility of encouraging the students community exposed to newer technologies; skills and new management techniques. In this context, CII Visakhapatnam Zone is organising a Brainstorming Session on “Industry – Academia Partnership for Growth” at 1430 hrs on 13th May 2015 in Coral Hall, Novotel, Visakhapatnam. In this session, we intend to cover the following : o Industry & Institute – Understanding the needs & expectations o Industry & Institute - Bridging the Skill gap o Strengthening the Academic Institutions – industry partnership – The Way forward This session will be exclusively for CEOs / HR Heads from industry and Principals of Educational Institutions and, therefore, your personal participation would be highly effective and appreciated.
