Revisit and review
As part of a debate on review of the Land Acquisition legislation carried in The Indian Express on Aug 1, 2014, Mr Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII, said that the proposed changes need to address lengthy and complex administrative procedures, identification of project affected families and compensation package, among others. Land acquisition should facilitate economic and industrial growth and creation of employment, stresses the column.
