Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised the 2nd Session of “CII DSO Banking and Finance Knowledge Roundtable Series” on 20th Dec 2012. The session focused on “Restructuring of Corporate Debt”.
Resurgent India Limited is the Knowledge Partner for this Series. The roundtable series is an effort by CII Delhi State Council to bring the Financial Institutions and Corporates on the same platform to build a healthy financial ecosystem.
Mr Virat Bhatia - Chairman, CII Delhi State Council and President, IEA South Asia, AT&T stated that the global recession have necessitated the banks all over the world to deleverage as also to restructure a large number of their household and corporate debt.
The session deliberated on Using Restructuring Exercise as a Strategic Opportunity and Restoring Economic Health. It also focused on the Constraints faced by Banks / Financial Institutions and Suggestions to make CDR mechanism more effective for SMEs .

The Session proved to be of great value as it threw light on the important subject of “Restructuring of Corporate Debt” especially during these times of crisis and global recession. The Session was well attended by delegates belonging to a plethora of industries and sectors.
