South Korea presents huge business opportunities for Indian SMES for Joint Ventures: H E Mr Kim Joong-Keun, Ambassador of South Korea

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)  organized an interactive session with senior Industry members with His Excellency, Mr KIM Joong-Keun, Ambassador of South Korea during his visit to Ahmedabad. In his address the Ambassador said he was here to understand the industry and academic opportunities with the business in South Korea and also to discuss the bilateral trade and collaboration between the two countries in emerging sectors.

His Excellency shared the extensive synergies between the two places and agreed to forge a Strategic Partnership in the coming years in Infrastructure, Defence, IT, Petrochemicals & Chemicals, Telecom, Ship Building, Nuclear Power Plants & Renewable Energy. South Korea could consider Gujarat for innovation, technology transfers & tie ups especially for Small & medium scale Industries.  

His Excellency noticed the warmth of the Gujarat Government and the Industries for being very receptive and forthright in inviting Investments and added that “Gujarat is fast becoming the Hub for the Automobile Sector”.

Mr Piyush Shah, Vice-Chairman, CII Gujarat State Council in his welcome remarks highlighted the India-South Korea relations and also briefed on the various investments likely to happen between the two countries.  Mr Shah extended a warm welcome to His Excellency and the Korean Industries to the State of Gujarat along with Korea Land Corporation & KOTRA for coming up with a township.
