Chhattisgarh came into existence on 1st November, 2000. At the time of its formation, the state had virtually little infrastructure .However, within a decade of its inception; the state has transformed itself by creating an infrastructure utilizing its resources and is in a position to compete with other industrially developed Indian states. Today, Chhattisgarh with its remarkable growth has become a role model for other states. The state is richly endowed with mineral reserves. Further, the state has an investor friendly Indusrial Policy. In addition, the state also has policies in place for IT, Biotechnology and Energy sectors. This report provides an insight to the investment climate in the state and also offers suggestions on how to attact new investments to the state.
