Lean Six Sigma – A Key Mantra for Business Transformation
Continuous Change and Improvement is the key driver for overall growth of the Organisation said by Dr Krishan Kumar, Former Director, Maruti Centre of Excellence (MACE) in his special address at the 4th Lean Six Sigma Summit organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII ) NR in New Delhi, today. He further added Lean Six Sigma is all about Quality and quality is everywhere – it’s not just a word of mouth of communication but meeting exceeding customer expectation. Dr Kumar emphasized on customer satisfaction in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety which can be achieved adapting and implementing Lean Six Sigma.
In this opening remarks, Mr Vineet Sharma, Executive Vice President (Quality & Business Excellence), Max life Insurance Company said that Lean Six Sigma is a religion which has its presence in many organisations and is increasing voluminously. Mr Sharma said setting a cultural transformation and benchmark for an organisation can be put in through adapting and implementing Lean Six Sigma.
While introducing the theme of the Summit, Mr Deepak M Muthreja, Principal Consultant, BMGI said Lean Six Sigma is vital for Building to last emphasizing sustainability in long term for every organisation. Mr Muthreja said its been 25 years Lean Six Sigma working as a structure in problem solving, creating competent problem solvers and solving problems. Adding Mr Muthreja said Lean Six Sigma helps in creating Alignment with the business and creating future through innovation that drives growth strategies.
Earlier in his address, Mr Pankaj Aggarwal, Regional Director, Indus Towers Ltd focused on the Business Transformation is required for the organisations to last long. It has to be plan at right level considering the way the world is changing. Broadening his view, Mr Aggarwal said that every individual in the company is sole responsible to drive a company vision. Mr Aggarwal remarked on the margin shrinkage that is eating away from every aspects of a organisation is an obstacle in cost competitiveness, skill development. Encouraging Innovation can only lead a company in market not cost Mr Aggarwal opined.
In his concluding remarks, Mr K N Rattan, Former Executive Director, Shriram Pistons & Rings said that Lean Six Sigma Summit is an Initiative need to be drive in every sphere of an organisation. Lean Six Sigma is a life blood of every organization said by Mr Rattan. He also said the Lean Six Sigma unlock the power and potential of an organisation and encouraging innovation up in the organisation.
The full day Summit focused on the important aspects of Lean Six Sigma covering : Innovative Strategies to solve Problems and Transform Business, Lean Six Sigma as a Tool to Sustain Growth and Technology.
