Commenting on the Delhi elections, Mr Jayant Davar, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region & Co-Chairman & Managing Director, Sandhar Technologies Ltd said that “CII looks forward to a strong partnership between the Industry and the Government in the areas of social inclusivity, social & physical infrastructure development under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, job creation, social security and attracting investments especially in hi-tech and knowledge based industries, Tourism, IT & ITeS, healthcare, education, trading and other service sector industry”.
“CII hopes that the new State leadership will work to promote sustained inclusive growth & development, transforming the state into an economically vibrant, technologically innovative and socially inclusive state. CII is confident that the new Government would be industry friendly and would strengthen Delhi’s pre-eminent position both economically and socially”. In the past also, CII has worked through the Delhi Task Force to facilitate the engagement between private industry and government on the issues of urban development and urban governance. In its continuing effort to promote social inclusiveness and development, CII will partner with the new government to make Delhi truly a Services hub and the most preferred destination for investors, with strong focus on enhancing skills & employability, social security, infrastructure, water, access to quality healthcare for all, women’s empowerment and gender sensitivity”, shared Mr Davar.
“The Indian youth has participated actively in the Electoral process and also impacted the mandate. This is a very positive sign for the India’s future both politically and socially as the youth has started accepting their responsibility and right to vote”, he added.
“We have been working very closely with the state governments in the past and will continue to render our full support in all progress linked endeavours, which are key to attain sustainable development. In its continuing effort to promote social inclusiveness and development, CII’s emphasis would be on enhancing skills, education & employability”, further highlighted Mr Davar.
