Young Indians (Yi) an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today announced the new office-bearers for the year 2021. Ms Smita Agarwal, Director & Chief Financial Officer, PTC Industries took over as the National Chair of CII-Yi for 2021. She takes over from Mr Kartik Shah, Director, Energypack Boilers.
This was announced at CII-Yi Annual Day 2020 held on 06 February 2021 at Hyderabad.
CII-Yi is a movement for Indian Youth to converge, lead, co-create and influence India’s future. Formed in 2002, Yi has over 3388 direct members, between 21-45 years, in 54 city chapters across the country, and 29500 students YUVA members from colleges. Yi membership includes young entrepreneurs, professionals and achievers from different walks of life. Yi undertakes projects and activities under its pillars of Nation Building, Youth Leadership and Thought Leadership.
The theme of 2021 is LEAD. Yi is focused on leading the initiatives dedicated to the cause of social development and bring a change in the society thereby making the youth as responsible citizens for the future. It excels in its projects and initiatives and is dedicated in achieving the milestones for the development contributing to the society at large. Yi intends to discover new path to build responsible citizens and support the growth of the citizens by sharing knowledge, awareness programs, campaigns etc. Taking forward Yi’s efforts under its three pillars will be the belief to LEAD the change in Yi’s flagship projects related to child safety, accessibility, road safety, organ donations and climate change to the forefront.
