CII is organising the 16th Corporate Governance Summit on Friday, 10 March 2023 at Mumbai (In-person).

The Summit will be part of CII initiatives as B20 Secretariat for the G20 Presidency year of India. B20 has identified priorities for deliberations under the theme “R.A.I.S.E – Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable, and Equitable Businesses.” Discussions at the CII Corporate Governance Summit will be aligned to these priorities.

The Summit will focus on the following key themes:

Board Integrity, Ethics, Effectiveness and Resilience - Governance and succession planning in Family Business; Board accountability and roles of Board Members; Board evaluation and Independent Directors – responsibility and liability.

Business and Sustainability - Climate change risk and achieving net zero standards – governance perspectives; Convergence of Sustainability Reporting Standards, higher standards for ESG disclosures and greenwashing and Upping the social game - stakeholder engagement, human capital management and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Risk Management, Fraud Governance and Cyber Security - Cybersecurity governance and compliance management; Leveraging technology and Learning utility, fixing responsibility, board oversight on ML driven analytics and upskilling, dealing with usage of digital platforms.

Role of Audit Committee, Investors and Auditors - Changing paradigms of Role of Audit Committee and Auditors; Financial reporting governance; Related party transactions and Investor activism.
