The Report on “Developing the food processing industry in West Bengal” was released against the backdrop of the Food Processing Conclave: Make in Bengal organized by CII on 5 February 2016 at Kolkata.
The food processing industry faces some key challenges that serve as barriers to its growth. The report aims to highlight the interventions required, to help the food processing industry overcome these challenges and help the state emerge as one of the nation’s foremost destinations for the processed food industry.
