CII-in partnership with PwC has developed a report on A Roadmap for Self-Reliance in RE Manufacturing which was released at the Inaugural session of the 2nd Edition of the CII Aatmanirbhar Conference scheduled on 15 and 16th of July, 2021.
Given the push from Hon’ble PM for Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the recent policy announcements around introduction of Basic Custom Duty, Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) for Solar manufacturing, Hydrogen Mission etc. it is important to understand the roadmap for developing India as a global manufacturing hub for renewable energy. This report tries to cover the long term policy and regulatory requirements including issues such as land, and power costs and technological upgradation to achieve this objective.
The CII-PwC team has interviewed over 30+ industry and government stakeholders across the sectors of solar, wind, biofuel, hydrogen, storage etc. to develop this report.
