The National IP Awards is conferred to recognize and reward creators/innovators of IP who have contributed to harnessing the country’s intellectual capital and creating an eco-system that boosts creativity and innovation. The award is constituted by Indian Patent Office.
Recognition is one of key motivating factors towards building a Strong Innovation ecosystem, in this context the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and Intellectual Property Office, Government of India, in collaboration with CII, is recognizes some of the Outstanding Contributions in Intellectual Property. The National IP Awards are instituted by Intellectual Property Office, Government of India. The awards are intended to encourage the innovation and management of intellectual property portfolio in such a manner that it influences the success of a business, whether large or small, in different industry segments.
The award is given annually on the occasion of world IP day celebrated every year on 26th April.
The publication details India’s initiatives and achievements in intellectual property rights (IPR) and seeks to recognize and reward individuals and organizations from across the country for their contribution towards harnessing the intellectual capital of our country in the fields of patents, trademarks and design.
