CII Eastern Region recently conducted a survey with CIOs in Eastern Region and have gathered insightful data and opinions on the voice of the stakeholders for any digital transformation initiative across sector. This data has been graphically represented in the report “Towards Sustainable Profit through Digital Transformation.” Digital economic activity results from billions of online connections among people, businesses, devices, data and processes. Continuous access to information, commerce and communication has become a daily fact of life for billions and will soon become a reality for billions more.
The report suggests that there is a tremendous opportunity for companies in Eastern India to leverage technology megatrends like Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, etc. While sectors like manufacturing, Information Technology (IT), power and utilities have adopted digital solutions to create an efficient and sustainable business ecosystem, there is further scope to increase technology use to address challenges in the healthcare, agriculture and education sectors. Harnessing the intellectual capital in the region and promoting technology innovation would be key to driving the economy of Eastern India.
