The CII-PwC report seeks to focus on the challenge of distribution, exploring possible solutions to some of the aspects of the distribution model.
The Indian mutual fund industry is focused on achieving greater penetration levels and strengthening its channels of distribution. Other concerns in terms of product innovation, investor awareness, lack of regulations specific to distributors, governance, risk management practices in the industry, mis-selling of mutual funds and limited use of technology, are also discussed.
The report was released at the 7th Edition of the Mutual Fund Summit 2011 organised by CII on 22 June, 2011 in Mumbai.
