The CII-KPMG report explores and assesses the sports ecosystem in India, identifies the various stakeholders concerned and addresses their specific issues and challenges. The study provides recommendations for both the Government and private stakeholders’ efforts in enabling sports in India and emphasises the need to collaborate and synergise efforts, so as to take the Indian sporting industry to the next level.
The report also attempts to highlight the common grounds and create a roadmap for Sports to meet Business.
It was released by Mr. Ajit M Sharan, Secretary - Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports at the “SCORECARD 2014 – National Conference on Business of Sports” organized by CII on 25 February, 2014 at New Delhi.
