A publication titled “Best Practices Manual for Indian Thermal Power Plants” was released against the backdrop of the 9th Power Plant Summit 2013 jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Central Electricity Authority on 25-26 July 2013 at Hyderabad.
This manual is intended to address the growing needs of energy conservation and energy efficiency in Indian thermal power plants. It showcases various energy conservation projects which are implemented across Indian thermal power plants along with some of the latest technologies which can be looked at by the sector. 34 case studies have been highlighted, which have been implemented across the sector in India along with details of the technologies and cost economics. These case studies have a high replication potential and will provide a value add to the Indian Power Sector.
