Employment for PwDs has been a challenge that many have tried to overcome, whether it is an NGO, an Employer or an Individual each one has played their part in addressing this issue. Realizing the need for a common platform to shrink this gap and collectively network to see positive results, CII has recently launched an online job portal exclusively for persons with disabilities and facilitate their employment.
This portal is a collaborative effort to promote positive employment outcomes for PwDs by encouraging employers and others to recognize the value and talent they bring to the workplace. This user-friendly website will cater to the needs of Employers and jobseekers alike, giving them a wide range of options to choose from whether it is Industry specific or location specific. NGO’s can register too and would play their part in assisting and providing volunteers to support, advice and upload the resumes of jobseekers to speed the process.
The portal will also have inspiring videos and success stories for all to view, and share their accomplishments.
CII has over 7000 members from various industries, many of whom are enthusiastic to be a part of this initiative by registering on this website and hiring PwDs. There are some employers who have employed more than 70% of their workforce as specially abled and the number is only increasing. They have joined hands with CII to spread a wave of awareness and bring in change by hiring more candidates through this portal.
