Resurgent Arunachal: Integrated Approach to Security and Development
CII and SIDM participated in the "Resurgent Arunachal: Integrated Approach to Security and Development" seminar, organized at the Likabali Military Station on 21–22 March 2025.
A joint presentation by CII-SIDM, delivered during the seminar, delved into the vital theme of economic growth and self-reliance for Arunachal Pradesh. It emphasized the importance of policies and initiatives that can drive industrial development in key sectors. The presentation also explored how enhancing connectivity, promoting local entrepreneurship, developing skills, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders can unlock the immense potential of the state’s diverse resources.
A key area that emerged during the seminar was the empowerment of youth. CII and SIDM stressed the necessity of investing in the younger generation, advocating for initiatives that support skill development, entrepreneurship, and job creation. This focus on youth is particularly critical in a state where the demographic dividend can be harnessed for meaningful and sustainable economic growth.
The dialogue also underscored the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders, including government bodies, private sector entities, and civil society organizations. A shared commitment to implementing an integrated strategy will be essential in addressing the unique cultural, ethnic, and ecological contexts of the state, while also ensuring that security considerations are adequately managed.
The seminar served as a platform for fostering new partnerships aimed at creating a roadmap for Arunachal Pradesh as a self-reliant and vibrant state. With concerted efforts, the economic prosperity of Arunachal Pradesh can be driven by youth empowerment, market linkages, technological interventions, and sustainable resource management.
