Mr Shashwat Goenka is the Vice Chairman of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, a diversified global conglomerate with interests spanning Power, Renewable Energy, Chemicals, IT, FMCG, Retail, Education, Media, Entertainment, Sports and Healthcare.

An alumnus of St. Xavier’s Collegiate, Kolkata, and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Mr Shashwant Goenka serves as the Honorary Consul of Finland in Kolkata.

Among his many notable achievements, he was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2024. He has also received several prestigious honours, including the Hurun India Next Gen Leader of the Year Award (2024) and Fortune’s 40 Under 40 (2023). More recently, he was recognised as a Young Leader by the France India Foundation and honoured with the One World One Family Global Leadership Award 2025. Mr Goenka was also featured in India Today’s “Young Achiever – The Next 100.”

Mr Goenka is currently the Vice President of CII. He recently served as Chairman of the CII Eastern Regional Council and is a member of the CII National Council, where he chairs the Committees on Retail, E-Commerce, and Ayurveda.
